Greek Salad - 2

Horiatiki Salata

  • Salad ingredients:

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce

  • 1 head romaine lettuce

  • 1 lb. plum (roma) tomatoes

  • 6 oz. or 180-200 gm. Greek or black olives, sliced

  • 4 oz. 125 gm. sliced radishes

  • 4 oz. or 125 gm. feta cheese

  • 2 oz. or 125 gm. anchovies (optional)

  • Salad Dressing:

  • 3 oz. 90-100 ml. olive oil

  • 3 oz. fresh 90-100 ml. (preferred) lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced


  1. Wash and cut lettuce into 1 1/2" pieces.

  2. Slice tomatoes in quarters.

  3. Combine lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and radishes in large bowl.

  4. Mix dressing ingredients together and then toss with vegetables*. Pour out into a shallow serving bowl.

  5. Crumble feta cheese all over, and arrange anchovy fillets

  6. on top (if desired).

  7. *Dressing should be added just before serving.
